FREE OFFER Receive 500 free quality targeted visitors to your website with Revisitors.com

As we already said in a previous article, duplicated content is a ranking-killer because search engines penalizes duplicated content. When writing pages for your website you must be aware of your page titles because you can gain precious positions by using them properly.

The baddest way of using your pages titles is to put the same phrase in it. Repeating the same phrase will penalizes you.

If you want to take advantage of it, you must put relevant content in it. A page title contains 2 distinct sections: the page topic and the website title, normally separated by a dash. The website title normally is the same throughout the website but the page title changes for each page because normally there is never 2 pages about the same subject (because you want to avoid duplicated content).

You page title total length must stay under 100 characters and should not contain the same keyword more than 1-3 times. Putting the same keyword (or keyword variation) will penalize you because search engine will think you are stuffing your page title and you will be considered as a web spammer.
