When you give your press release to a PR firm, you expect them to send your press release. Some dishonest tells you that they have sent your press release without sending them. To know if your press release has been really sent you need proofs.
A press release is meant to be sent to newspapers, TV stations, radios stations, journalists and bloggers so you want it to go there ! If the PR firm only adds it to their website, you get absolutely no real exposure. Normally, the PR firm should send you a list of websites and organizations where your website has been sent. If you want to be sure your press release has been sent, go to websites in the report they gave you and check if you can find your press release. Also, you can call some newspapers to see if they have received it.
If a PR firm only give you one link to your press release and that link is pointing directly to there own website, never do business with them again because they are certainly just taking your money.
