The Search Engine Submission SCAM

FREE OFFER Receive 500 free quality targeted visitors to your website with Revisitors.com

Some SEO "experts" will ask you to pay for them to submit your website to thousands of search engines. Fine ! This sounds good because you think "I don't want to do this manually, it will take me too long and I could forget some search engines !".

So, why is this a SCAM ?

How many different search engines can count on your fingers ? 3, 4 ? 10 if you're a king ! Everyone knows the same search engines: Google, Yahoo, Bing (MSN), AOL and some others like Ask Jeeves. These 4-5 major search engines represents about 92% of all the search engine market shares :

So why the hell do you care about the rest ? Also, those big search engines will automatically find your website really quickly and index it. If all your pages are crawlable, you website will be indexed in a short period of time, without the need to submit it !

We already did the test with a blog we had. Natural traffic was flowing in from Google and Yahoo without any advertising. We decided to pay someone to blast our blog to thousands of search engines. In the next year we had 1 visitor coming from an unknown search engine, proving us that this is completely wasted money.

Search Engine Submission leads to SPAM

If someone can submit your website to thousands (I mean 1000's) of search engines for about 45$, he his certainly not doing this by hand ! He simply use some softwares created to SPAM search engines with your website.

Conclusion

Focus on Google, Yahoo and Bing. Submit it manually to them if you want to accelerate the process, it will take 5 minutes of your time and you will not waste your money with completely useless search engines. Also, if you think about hiring someone to blast your website address to thousands of search engines, don't be surprised if you get penalized for this because is it considered as a SPAMMY SEO technique.
